Know the latest Cyber Scams

Now a days, the persons doing cyber crimes are targeting bank's emails, asking them to verify their account information. So be aware of this.

The Cyber crime investigator, Matt Eddins, said that many of the latest crimes began with the following statement, “There’s a problem with your account. We’re doing an audit to make sure everything is good, so tell us again your account number”. If you receive this type of message, consider it could be a potential threat. This is big problem which continues to grow.

By observing the records in the year 2007, cyber crime victims lost $25 million and in the year 2008 there was a loss of $264 million, averaging about $931 in each scam.

Blackberry and i Phone users should take care before submitting any personal banking or credit card information.

The latest and top cyber crimes occur through Internet auction fraud and credit card identity theft, from undelivered products.

What are tarpits and how are they used?

A tarpit is any service on a computer system (server software), which intentionally responds pathologically slowly to client commands. The technique was developed as a defensive measure against a computer worm and the basic underlying idea is that network abuses such as spamming are less effective if they take too long. By running a tarpit which treats acceptable mail normally and known spam slowly or which appears to be an open mail relay, a site slows down the rate at which spammers inject messages into the mail facility. Many systems could simply disconnect if the server doesn't respond quickly, thus eliminating the spam. However, a few legitimate e-mail systems may not deal correctly with these delays.

Compensation of Employees

Compensation of employees (CE) is a statistical term used in national accounts, Balance of Payments statistics and sometimes in corporate accounts as well. It refers basically to the total gross (pre-tax) wages paid by employers to employees for work done in an accounting period, such as a quarter or a year.

However, in reality, the aggregate includes more than just gross wages, at least in national accounts and balance of payments statistics. The reason is that in these accounts, CE is defined as "the total remuneration, in cash or in kind, payable by an enterprise to an employee in return for work done by the latter during the accounting period". It represents effectively a total labor cost to an employer, paid from the gross revenues or the capital of an enterprise.

Compensation of employees is accounted for on an accrual basis; i.e., it is measured by the value of the remuneration in cash or in kind which an employee becomes entitled to receive from an employer in respect of work done, during the relevant accounting period - whether paid in advance, simultaneously, or in arrears of the work itself.

For statistical purposes, the relationship of employer to employee exists, when there is an agreement, formal or informal, between an enterprise and a person, normally entered into voluntarily by both parties, whereby the person works for the enterprise, in return for remuneration in cash or in kind. The remuneration is normally based on either the time spent at work, or some other objective indicator of the amount of work done.

For social accounting purposes, CE is considered as a component of the value of net output or value added (as factor income). The aim is not to measure income actually received by workers, but the value, which labor contributes to net output along with other factors of production. The underlying idea is that the value of net output equals the factor incomes that it generates. For this reason, some types of remuneration received by employees are either included or excluded, because they are regarded as either related or unrelated to production or to the value of new output.

In different countries, what is actually included and excluded in CE may differ somewhat. The reason is that the way in which workers are compensated for their labor may be somewhat different in different types of economies. For example, in some countries workers get substantial payments "in kind", in others they don't. Systems of social insurance also differ between countries, and some countries have little social insurance. One has to keep this in mind when comparing CE magnitudes for different countries.

10 Closest Stars to the Earth

Star is a ball of mostly hydrogen and helium gas that shines extremely brightly. Our Sun is a star. A star is so massive that its core is extremely dense and hot. At the high core temperatures of a star, atoms move so fast that they sometimes stick to other atoms when they collide with them, forming more massive atoms and releasing a great amount of energy. This process is known as nuclear fusion.

Here are the Top 10 Closest Stars to the picture of solar system.
  1. Proxima Centauri: The closest star to our own solar system will not always be closest, but it will be a long time before that happens. Proxima Centauri is the third star in the Alpha Centauri star system, also known as Alpha Centauri C.
  2. Rigil Kentaurus: The second closest star is a tie between the sister stars of Proxima Centauri. Alpha Centauri A and B make up the other two stars of the triple star system Alpha Centauri.
  3. Barnard's Star: A faint red dwarf star, discovered in 1916 by E. E. Barnard, recent efforts to discover planets around Barnard's Star have failed.
  4. Wolf 359: Known to many as the location of a famous battle on Star Trek the Next generation, Wolf 359 is a red dwarf. It is so small that if it were to replace our sun, an observer on Earth would need a telescope to see it clearly.
  5. Lalande 21185: While it is the fifth closest star to our own sun, Lalande 21185 is about three times too faint to be seen with the naked eye.
  6. Luyten 726-8A and B: Discovered by Willem Jacob Luyten (1899-1994), both Luyten 726-8A 726-8B are red dwarfs and too faint to be seen with the naked eye.
  7. Sirius A and B: Sirius, also known as the Dog Star, is the brightest star in the sky. Sirius B, the companion, has received considerable attention itself, since it is the first white dwarf with a spectrum to show a gravitational red shift as predicted by the general theory of relativity.
  8. Ross 154: Ross 154 appears to be a flare star, which means that it can increase its brightness by a factor of 10 or more before reverting to its normal state, a process that takes only a few minutes.
  9. Ross 248: While it is now the ninth closest star to our solar system, around the year 38000AD, the red dwarf Ross 248 will take the place of Proxima Centauri as the closest star to us.
  10. Epsilon Eridani: Eridani (tenth closest star to Earth) is the closest star known to have a planet, Epsilon Eridani b. It is the third closest star that is viewable without a telescope.

All about Political Consulting

Political consulting is the management consulting business, which has grown up around advising and assisting political campaigns, primarily in the United States. As democracy has spread around the world, American political consultants have often developed an international base of clients. Though its most important role is probably in the production of mass media, political consultants advise campaigns on virtually all of their activities, from research to field strategy. Consultants conduct candidate research, voter research, and opposition research for their clients.

Personal benefit
As political consulting became more prevalent, political consultants increasingly were personally in the spotlight, with journalists devoting considerable attention to their activities. Many successful political consultants, such as James Carville, capitalized on their fame to become professional or semi-professional pundits. Such political consultants routinely appear on television news programs, write books, and are treated as media celebrities.

Some people accuse media-centric consultants of putting their own interests and images ahead of their clients. Even some political consultants allege that too many consultants put their financial interests ahead of the campaigns they are hired to serve, taking on too many clients and focusing too much energy on building their reputations.

Style of modern campaigns
Critics also blame political consulting, at least in part, for a variety of ills of the modern election process. In part because broadcast media consultants are often paid on commission, they are blamed specifically for the rising cost of political campaigns and the increasing reliance on paid media. A successful candidate running a low-budget campaign would be a serious economic threat to the political consulting field; such candidates, however, are rare.

Some activists, particularly within the Democratic Party, charge that political consultants are a major obstacle to participatory democracy, political reform, and electoral success for the Democrats. In a much-publicized e-mail on December 9, 2004, the online activist group MoveOn.org wrote, "For years, the Party has been led by elite Washington insiders who are closer to corporate lobbyists than they are to the Democratic base. But we can't afford four more years of leadership by a consulting class of professional election losers."

Lastly, there is growing professional opposition to what is called a "cookie cutter campaign", where the themes and strategies of one campaign are transferred to another campaign, despite what may be major differences in political context. Brian Wright, president of Democrasource, LLC, believes that "Campaign communications techniques are evolving so quickly—anyone sitting on the sidelines or clinging to the last presidential campaign’s strategies is done. The book’s been rewritten."

Trade organizations
The American Association of Political Consultants is the major trade association for political consultants in the United States, with thousands of members. Like similar professional organizations, it propagates a code of ethics and gives out awards.

Considerations On Choosing An SEO Company

If you have decided to hire an SEO company for website promotion you need to know many aspects because there might be many scams with SEO companies but if you know what to look for when selecting a SEO company, the risk of hiring fraudsters would be reduced. Here is a list with some points to watch for when choosing a SEO company:
  • Firstly, suspect the companies who promise the # 1 rankings.
  • Ask in Web masters forums
  • Google the company name. If the company is a known fraudster, chances are that you will find a lot of information about it on the Web.
  • Happy customers are the best form of promotion, so feel free to ask your potential SEO Company about sites they have optimized and references from clients.
  • Check the PR of their own site. If they can't optimize their site well enough to get a good PR (over 4-5), they are not worth hiring.
  • Ask them what keywords their site ranks for. Similarly to the page rank factor, if they don't rank well for the keywords of their choice, they are hardly as professional as they are pretending to be.
  • Do they use any black hat SEO tricks?
  • Where do they collect backlinks, you need to make sure that SEO companies collect the backlinks from the reputed sites only.
  • Confirm the pricing options
  • Another tricky question is to ask them if they will place in you top 10 for some competitive keywords of your choice.
SEO is a constant process and if you want to rank well and keep on like that, efforts are necessary all the time. Because of this, it is better to select a company that includes post-optimization maintenance, than get a company that pushes your site to the top and then leaves you in the wild on your own before you sign the contract for hiring a SEO India company.

Making Your Old House Look New

Making an old house look great is not difficult but requires some techniques to make it look great.

Years ago, buildings were pedestrian friendly. People used to look at houses by foot or carriage at a slower speed. This slower speed made them to notice the beauty of a house.

Over the years most homes have already lost their good look. Many homes have suffered from modernizing their exteriors that destroyed their look. To reduce these mistakes, more and more remodeling was done which destroyed its natural beauty. Over a Period of time these errors have become familiar and accepted. These errors are now part of normal remodeling procedure.

The remodeling of the house must be done after understanding the architectural look of the house and the requirements of the house.

The house can be made look new by using new paint and colors and rearranging the furniture. This process of painting house should be repeated for every season.

What new credit card laws mean for customers

As soon as the recession started, I kept all my credit cards at a safe distance from me and my wife. I am OK to pay the minimum fees charged for possessing a credit card, but it is really terrible to pay those huge bills - they keep sending every month.

I was eagerly waiting for the great news on credit cards, to be given by our wise President. But the announcement didn’t worth much of my waiting.

I agree that there are some good points for the consumers, but still we require a lot of regulations on the surprise-bills and hefty interest rates by credit card companies.

According to what White House said, around 80 percent of the Americans possess credit cards and half of them have bills to pay. And the nation caries a debt of $2.5 trillion on the credit card bills itself.

Difference Between A Blog And A Website

Many of us may have a confusion between the functions of a blog, and a website. A blog is an online journal where people can update information frequently, and website is a group of web pages where content is published for all reasons. Surprisingly, it is difficult to explain much about their differences, because they share many unique characteristics. Thus, many people have a perception that blogs and websites, both are same. However, it is important for us to understand the key differences between a blog and a website.

Difference between blog and website
Both blogs (when used for business) and websites play an important role in representing credibility of a business, and in enabling customers to know about their products or services. Though, blogs have similar features like websites, they are distinctly different.

  • Publishing content: A blog is online diary where the blogger can write posts on personal interests, reviews, experiences and many more. A website is a standard place, where the company cannot go for personal opinions of its business. It is for publishing formal and official information. Websites content seldom can be changed easily and frequently. Whereas, content in blogs can be updated easily with WYSIWYG based text editor.
  • Creation concern: Creating a website is not as easy as creating a blog. It needs specific knowledge about html, php, xml, etc. Blog creation is easy and simple. Free or hosted blogs can be created with built-in templates or even can be customized based on needs or owners preferences.
  • Cost: Creation of a website for a company may force to spend huge amount of money for domain registration, web hosting, content development, etc. For creating a blog, its takes only a few dollars to host or even you can do it free using some blog service providers like Blogger, or WordPress etc.
  • Visibility differences: As blogs are personal online diaries, they are not created with a focus on marketing, which makes them vibrant in terms of layout, design, and content. Therefore, visitors often come to read personal reviews, opinions, or personal details. Websites are created with specific purpose. This may restrict them in designing, structuring, and presenting the website.
  • Blogs are dynamic: In website, the content changes with change in products, and services of the company. Blogs are updated on regular basis.
  • Websites have limited information: Websites describes about an organization i.e. may be profit/non-profit and its products or services. Comparatively, content in blogs can be represented in many ways like personal views, conversational, and biased opinions.
  • Communication flow: Websites give overview of a company, and give information about the products, and services but does not take any feed back. Communication flow in blogs is two-way. After reading the blog, readers give feedback in form of comments. Generally for websites, it is one-way communication.

The above information helps in understanding the difference between blogs, and website. Both blogs and website have their own significance in online market.

A Dip in Mortgage Rates Increase Refinances

The decrease in mortgage rates hiked the refinancing rate in the country.

Amid all the vows of low businesses, increased lay offs, etc, people find refinancing as a better option to go with; to help them from the situation.

The average interest rates of home loans with 30 year mortgage dipped below 5 percent this week. Homeowners who qualify are awarded with big savings; and this is much like finding an oasis amid journey in a deep desert.

Mortgage finders said they found that people with refinancing applications have increased rather than people with new mortgage applications.

As I said, only homeowners who qualify can avail the refinancing.

Qualify what? the homeowners must qualify the FICO credit scores. Generally, score with 720 or higher are mostly considered for refinancing. So it is high time to know your scores and if you find them low - start polishing them.

After Lay Off: Working For 70 Percent Lesser Pay

Shane was working in a reputed financial company for a six figured salary. With the excess pay he used to get every month, he was addicted to over luxurious life style. He used to shop for useless things. He bought a luxurious house along with a costly car with a bank loan, though it was impracticable for even his six figured salary. He didn’t care of savings because he was doing well in the organization, and had full confidence over his job security in the organization.

But one day something happened that he couldn’t even imagine of. The company he was working filed for a bankruptcy and very soon got closed, leaving all its employees jobless.

Shane then started for a job chase. He was very confident that he would get a job with all the great experience he had. But the industry itself has crumbled in such a way that he couldn’t find a job even after 3 months.

Banks were desperate about getting their pending bills paid. It was too much pressure. He sold all the luxurious items to repay off his debts. He joined in a restaurant for very lower salary and moved to a rental apartment, near his work place.

There are still many Shane’s in the country who are still looking for a job.

Lunch of the Presidents: Former, Present, and the Future

That lunch was very auspicious for the White House. It had the former Presidents, the Present President and the future President (elected) altogether at the same time on the same table. This was historical occasion (for the White House at least).

Mr. Bush has invited Jimmy carter, George HW Bush, Bill Clinton, and the Barack Obama, to a formal lunch here on Wednesday January 7th.

Though they were from different parties, different political views and different work style, they met together and shared their experiences.

Jimmy Carter was a democrat and served the nation from 1977 to 1981. I think it was him who had such lunch before leaving the White House.

Whatever it may be, I wish Obama didn’t miss this chance to take suggestions of the experienced Presidents, as he has many big tasks to deal with. I wish he had some good suggestion from one of those on how to deal with the recession.

The Dreadful Impact Of Gaza Violence On The Innocents

The bombing spree continuing at the Gaza is affecting poor citizens too. It seems that Israel has no pity on these innocent citizens; not even on the poor kids whose childhood is been deprived by the anger of the strong neighbor, though they have no business with any of them.

Keeping aside the present impact of the violence going on in front of the children, the impact may be greater on their future.

This is the age where children tend to adopt good practices or bad practices of life. With the entire violent environment around them they are going to fill their hearts with violence and hatred and grow up to be the same. And it is obvious that person will be a danger to the society around him. Though not proved, we can say that most of those terrorists and anti-social elements, devouring on the serenity of the society, have such violent back ground.

It is time for the nations all over the world to respond to the situation before it gets off the control.

Trash Is Deeply Related With Humans

It is estimated that an average American makes around 4.3 pounds of trash everyday. I wonder whether 70% of people would like to know where this trash is going to get dumped or how hazardous is it to his earth, to his country, to his family or just assume to him. In a life time it is estimated that an average American dumps garbage with 600 times of his own weight. Numbers are big, I know, but these are absolute facts and are equally inevitable.

The numbers are inevitable because they go with our life style. A person cannot live without littering. But Americans play a very big role in producing trash among entire world. Because Americans do have very special lifestyle which major comprises of carelessness and irresponsibility.

Coming to humankind, littering is as common for any human as breathing. It may seem exaggerating but it is a fact. It is inevitable, but we can save ourselves from saving most of our dumping yards by recycling. As we are exploding in population every day, we may get short of land some day or the other. We may get short of many other essential things like trees, drinking water, etc.

Why not start today to help ourselves tomorrow.

Tips to Get Rid Of Stains on Carpet

It is difficult to clean the stains on carpet especially chocolate, coffee, etc. I have some tips, which will help you to eliminate the stains on carpet easily.

Before washing any carpet you should immerse it in the warm water containing neutral, pH balanced detergent. While washing you should first apply vinegar and then wash with detergent, with this stains will be removed easily.

When you apply vinegar you should not scrub hardly because the stain will go further inside. In order to remove the chocolate and coffee stains, you have to respond quickly because if stains get dry, it will become complex to remove the stains.

To remove any mud stains that are sticky to your carpet you should apply club soda to the stain and allow it for fifteen to twenty minutes and then wash with detergent. Repeat this process until the stain is removed. For better results you can also add hydrogen peroxide that chemically reacts with stain and removes it.

Social Networking Doesn't Work Out For Advertisers

If you are a person going frequently online for general purposes then you must be a member of some Social Networking site or the person recently left one. If both the cases are wrong then you must be someone who is planning to join one. This is the way how social networking sites are impacting online population.

Whether it is Face Book, My Space, Bebo or some thing else, it is as essential to be a member of a social networking site as using Internet.

But ads placed in social networking sites aren’t as popular as the sites. There was a survey on ads on social networking sites which said that Spam Emails are still better than ads on social networking sites.

And from our point of view, I will say that ads on those sites are a mere clutter or do appear so. They really mess up their cool pages with all those gagging of ads.

So it is time for these sites to invent a new strategy to place advertisements.

The Electronic Giant Sony to Cut 8000 Jobs Worldwide

Recently the electronic giant Sony proclaimed that they are going to cut eight thousand jobs across the world as a result of global economic crisis. Sony is the second largest electronic company in the world. By the next financial year they are also planning to reduce their investments and pull out of some business sectors.

Sony doesn’t have any hub business that creates steady profits. It said that it would need to turn down some plants, reduce capital expenditure and lay off workers.

Katsuhiko Mori, fund manager, said this deduction will not be sufficient and they are planning to reduce the manufacturing sites by about 10percent. He also said that it would delay plans to boost output for liquid crystal display TVs in Slovakia.

And they are planning to decrease the amount of capital spending on semiconductors. Through all these measures, it aims to create annual costs savings more than $100 billion by next financial year.

What Is Going On With General Motors?

General motors, is now facing bad times very severely. It is one of the three biggest auto manufacturers in US. But it is now in the state of going bankrupt.

General Motors was hit very severely by the economic crisis. In fact, it is the entire auto industry that is suffering and the conditions are still in declining position.

And it was a big blow to the industry when they saw decline in auto sales this November, to a 26 year low.

General Motors went to its usual Lay off spree, but still didn’t rejuvenate its position. The layoffs number is a hefty figure and is going to contribute to the new Jobless stats. This is not as much surprising, as it became common for General Motors to slash their Employees whenever they saw that they had bad times.

As all the auto makers have urged for a $34 billion rescue, the General Motors itself need around $14 billion for itself.

Is Home School Conference Provides Valuable Lessons

Mothers feel like missing a huge part of their children’s life by staying away from them. With help of home school conferencing they can help the children in learning process and be with them till they are for school. Home learning is a process of learning where mother is involved in first the step of learning process of their children like making them to read and write alphabets at home.

Home schooling with parents is good option for both parents and children. Mother is available every time for her kid and helps them in learning things smoothly by making the learning process easy. But sometimes, home schooling can be a bad experience and children can even learn invaluable lessons by the conferences with others.

Parents are happy that their children are learning more from the home school conference but this may not be true in all cases especially while providing valuable lessons. Many mothers stay at home at the starting stage of learning process of their children.

Like A Prayer Is One Of The Best Albums From Madonna

We all know that Madonna is one of the best pop celebrities of all time. I like her hits like Remixed Prayers, royal Box. Among all the albums of Madonna, Like a Prayer is her most un-ambiguous effort at most important creative declaration. She had a plain and stunning voice. She even got MTV viewers choice award for her album Like A Prayer.

Ranging from the deep funk of "Express your self" and "Keep it together" to the haunting "Oh Father" and "Like a Prayer," Madonna displays a commanding sense of song craft, making this her best and most consistent album. Her album Oh Father is a good inspiration song. In that song she says the relation between the father and son.

The album Like a Prayer has collected many records and the song returned her to the top of the chart. Like a Prayer, is the album which is rated as best of her albums.

Helen and the Greek: Astonishing Relation

People who know about Odysseus also know about Helen. Even people who don’t know about Odysseus also know Helen. Helen was the name of that lady who is said to have the face that launched a thousand ships.

Helen was the daughter of Zeus himself. It was for her that the mighty Trojan War is said to take place.

It is with her name that there are many great things of Greeks named after. I wonder whether the name was popular before Helen or because of Helen.

Whatever it is, the name Hellene starts during era of Trojan War It is been the name of a small but vigorous tribe, who made this word very popular along with them.

Do you know what the modern state of Greece is named after? It is Hellenic Republic. Similarly there are many situations where this name was used. Even the tectonic plate under Greece, Turkey and Italy is called as Hellenic plate. There is also a period named Hellenistic Greece, which was after the death of Alexander and before the takeover of Romans on Greece.

Impact of Iraq War on City Of Babylon

Babylon was one of the cities prevailing in today’s world as witnesses of ancient civilization, traditions and cultures. It was treated as holy city for Babylonians of 2300 BC. And the Hanging garden of the Babylon was one of the ancient wonders of the world. There were many more great monuments in Babylon like Lion of Babylon, a sculpture of 2,600 years old; the Ishtar Gate, etc. It was also mentioned in the Old Testament of the Bible as Babel city where people of the Earth were said to construct a temple tower that could reach to heaven.

It is now in Iraq where US troops have invaded and destroyed most of its monuments. They brought down the monuments, as old as 2600 years old, to ground so that they could build parking places for their helicopters and heavy vehicles. The major damage was said to be done for the Ishtar Gate.

How The Rich Countries Impact The Poor Nations?

There are many poorer countries across the globe relying on some richer countries for their basic needs itself. Richer countries always have impact globally on all nations. We have a recent and best example; the economy crisis which traveled all over the world.

It is not necessary that these impacts are positive in all situations. There may be some negative things that poor nations have to bear while the main cause is the rich nations.

The most important brunt among them is the environmental pollution. We know that who constitute the major role in releasing harmful gases into the atmosphere. It is the richer countries with all their industrialization process. And the major impact is to those poor countries which altogether do not constitute even 5% of the total pollution.

And the hiking food prices and food crisis started hurting nations like Egypt, Indonesia, Cameroon, etc., which couldn’t bear those even in good times.

What is core to do in CPUs?

If you are a guy using computers without much information on hardware of a computer than you will end up in disaster without some help from a person with touch in hardware. This is my personal experience. So when you are dealing with a machine, no matter if it is a computer or a car, have some basics on the machinery.

Coming back to the microprocessors of a CPU, their importance can be seen if you review the abbreviation of CPU, i.e. Control Processing Unit. It is in 1970 that micro processors substituted Integrated circuits. And this is the main reason why we have PCs and laptops. Or else we would be using a computer like we are using airplanes today. I mean in the size and usage frequency sense.

Microprocessors started their succession of PC market in steps of 8-bit, 16-bit, 32-bit, 64-bit, and finally multi-core processors. The more the processors, the more is the processing power and efficiency of multi tasking.

Is Interim Staffing Profitable for Organizations?

Having the right people available at the right time can mean the difference between success and failure. This applies to all the situations in life; whether it is business or life.

Having right people as employees is as important as having a right partner. How can you judge right people? This is a big and important task for recruiters especially for startup recruiters. Small mistake in judgment results in a big loss or wastage of effort. Therefore, you will definitely need to spend a big time while recruiting for the right person. What will happen to the business in meantime? Your business probably cannot wait for you until you recruit the right persons. This is the apt situation on where you can rely on interim recruiting. Not only for the above situation, there may be many business situations where relying on interim staffing seems to be the best idea. The situations may be like crisis management, sudden departure, illness, death, change management, managing change or transition, sabbaticals, MBOs and IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, and project management. So interim staffing is profitable in mist situations, I must say…

Salsa dance is a fusion

Salsa dance is a fusion of informal dance styles. It is developed not only in the Caribbean but also in Latin America. There is a strong African influence in the music and the dance. Salsa is usually a partner dance, although there are recognized solo steps and some forms are danced in groups of couples, with frequent exchanges of partner. This is a great dance to learn since you can learn solo.

The usual method is to find a local class in your area but this could provide a stumbling block. You could go to your local library and get several books on your chosen style but this is not the best idea. You will have learned the theory but without professional advice visually how will you spot your mistakes. The recommended option if you cannot make a dance class is to get a DVD course. This option is fantastic due to the fact you can dance whenever you feel like it. You will be able to see if you are making that tango step correct. In general, salsa dancing is an excellent workout. You will get fit; more toned and look better but also have fun while you’re doing it! Start joining the salsa craze now by having salsa dvd tutorial.

Basic Steps on Passing a Drug Test

Most of the employees require how to pass the standard drug test and should have their own drug testing kits. One of the easiest ways to pass the drug test is not to take the drugs being tested for. This how-to mainly focuses on what to do if you have so indulged and being a hard working who wished to practice there are some aspects that makes you to keep privacy. Few of them are as follows

Dilution or Flushing
The idea is to pass liquid through your body to wash out traces of the drug in question. Many people assume that drinking excessive amounts of water will accomplish this, but not only is it dangerous (people have died from water intoxication) but it is also risky because colorless urine arouses suspicion, possibly flagging the sample and causing Them to run it at 15 ng/ml like a confirmation as apposed to a standard 50 ng/ml.

The Detox drinks sold in smoke shops or the like are nothing special, in fact if your going to use them get a work out drink with Creatine and b vitamins, the Creatine turns into creatinine and is tested for in the urinalysis and you will need extra being that levels will be diluted and the B vitamins add color.

Spiking or Masking
Spiking or masking a urine sample is a method used to throw off testing equipment from seeing certain results.
  • Many Nitrate products are commonly tested for and will be detected and there is a list of products that will not work.
  • If asked to take a drug test, act natural. Some employers, schools and parents will ask you to take one just to see your reaction.
  • Unless you are being taken by surprise with a random test request and you then need to just fail to show any ID so there is no valid chain of custody.
If you are unable to make your drug test a good location inform them that it is a ''simply not possible '. Do not volunteer any other information. As far as you not to test Drug testing was never even a remote consideration in your mind. A request to the dates of tests and obtain an alternative drug test kit. Your best reaction in this situation is astonishment, not anger.

Interpretation Of Thought Form

A thoughtform is a manifestation of mental energy, also known as a “tulpa” in Tibetan mysticism. The concept of thoughtforms is related to the Western philosophy and practice of magic

A thought form is held to be a combination of mind, energy, and consciousness manifested by a sentient being. In the Dzogchen view, thoughtforms of kye-rim type are sentient beings in their own right. Thoughtforms may be benevolent, malevolent, or a combination of both, and can come about as either an intentional or unconscious manifestation of mental energy. In the Tibetan tradition, these are considered an emergence of the Five Pure Lights — the "radiance" or "Clear Light" which is acted upon by mental energy.

This is related to the concept of mindstream, which is a confluence of the “Eight Consciousnesses”, and thus forms the "root" of the Western scientific conceptions of matter and energy. From the Dzogchen perspective energy is disconnected from spiritual energy or vital force, which has medical implications in traditional Tibetan medicine

Parapsychologist H. H. Price, held that once an idea has been formed, it "is no longer wholly under the control of the consciousness which gave it birth" but may operate independently on the minds of other people or on physical objects. It is contended that a meme is not a thoughtform, unless it is sentient Though, memetic theory can be considered an information-based relative of thoughtform phenomena

In Buddhist phenomenology, "appearances" and "phenomena" are English renderings of "dharmas". The communion undertaken by the wife of Marpa in the quotation is an ancient mode of "mind transmission" in the Himalayan traditions, documented in the folklore and anthropological studies of Himalayan and Siberian Shamanism. The Russian Psychiatrist Olga Kharitidi published her direct experience of this phenomenon in the Altay Mountains, where a shaman merged a stream of his consciousness or spirit with hers. This phenomenon is a variation of the spiritual discipline of Phowa and is often rendered as "spirit possession" within English anthropological discourse.

Legal And Ethical Issues In Medical Tourism

Medical tourism is called in different aspects like medical travel, health tourism or global healthcare is a term initially started by travel agencies and the mass media to describe the rapidly-growing practice of traveling across international borders to obtain health care.

Such services typically include elective procedures as well as complex specialized surgeries such as joint replacement, cardiac surgery, dental surgery, and cosmetic surgeries. The provider and customer use informal channels of communication-connection-contract, with less regulatory or legal oversight to assure quality and less formal recourse to reimbursement or redress, if needed.

Leisure aspects typically associated with travel and tourism may be included on such medical travel trips. Prospective medical tourism patients need to keep in mind the extra cost of travel and accommodations when deciding on treatment locations. A specialized subset of medical tourism is reproductive tourism, which is the practice of traveling abroad to undergo in-vitro fertilization and other assisted reproductive technology treatments.

Legal issues: By traveling outside their home country for medical care, medical tourists may encounter unfamiliar ethical and legal issues. The limited nature of litigation in non-US countries is one reason for the lower cost of care overseas. While some countries currently presenting themselves as attractive medical tourism destinations provide some form of legal remedies for medical malpractice, these legal avenues may be unappealing to the medical tourist. Should problems arise, patients might not be covered by adequate personal insurance or might be unable to seek compensation via malpractice lawsuits. Hospitals and/or doctors in some countries may be unable to pay the financial damages awarded by a court to a patient who has sued them, owing to the hospital and/or the doctor not possessing appropriate insurance cover and/or medical indemnity. However new insurance products are available that protect the patient should an alleged medical malpractice occur overseas.

Ethical issues: There can be major ethical issues around medical tourism. Medical tourism may raise broader ethical issues for the countries in which it is promoted. Some argue that a "policy of 'medical tourism for the classes and health missions for the masses' will lead to a deepening of the inequities" already embedded in the health care system.

The English football league system

The English football league system, also known as the Football Pyramid, is a series of interconnected leagues for club football in England (although for historical reasons a small number of Welsh clubs also compete). The system has a hierarchical format with promotion and relegation between leagues at different levels, and allows even the smallest club to dream of rising to the very top of the system. There are over 140 leagues, containing over 480 divisions. The exact number of clubs varies from year to year as clubs join and leave leagues or fold altogether, but an estimated average of 15 clubs per division implies that over 7,000 clubs are members of a league in the English football league system.

The system consists of a hierarchy of leagues, bound together by the principle of promotion and relegation. Clubs that are successful in their league can rise higher in the pyramid, whilst those that finish at the bottom can find themselves sinking further down. In theory it is possible for a lowly local amateur club to rise to the pinnacle of the English game and become champions of the Premier League. While this may be unlikely in practice (at the very least, not in the short run), there certainly is significant movement within the pyramid. The number of teams promoted between leagues or divisions varies, and promotion is usually contingent on meeting criteria set by the higher league, especially concerning appropriate facilities and finances.

The top five levels contain one division each. Below this, the levels have progressively more parallel leagues, which each cover progressively smaller geographic areas. Many leagues have more than one division. At the lower levels the existence of leagues becomes intermittent, although in some areas there are as many as twenty layers. There are also leagues in various parts of the country, which are not officially part of the system as they do not have formal agreements with other leagues, but are recognized at various levels by county football associations. Clubs from these leagues may, if they feel they meet the appropriate standard of play and have suitable facilities, apply to join a league, which does form part of the system.

The seven levels immediately below the Premier League and Football League are known as the National League System and come under the jurisdiction of The Football Association. Under the direction of The Football Association, the National League System evolved over many years. Recent re-organization saw the formation of a Conference North and Conference South immediately below the Football Conference, renamed Conference National, forcing the top divisions of the Southern League, Isthmian League and Northern Premier League down one level.

The English football league system does not include the amateur version of the game often-called Sunday league football. These leagues are independent entities with no promotion or relegation involving the football pyramid. However, some Sunday League clubs have been known to join pyramid leagues if they desire to progress higher.

Automatic Call Distributor

In telephony, an Automatic Call Distributor (ACD) is a device or system that distributes incoming calls to a specific group of terminals that agents use. It is often part of a computer telephony integration (CTI) system.

Routing incoming calls is the task of the ACD system. ACD systems are often found in offices that handle large volumes of incoming phone calls from callers who have no need to talk to a specific person but who require assistance from any of multiple persons (e.g., customer service representatives) at the earliest opportunity.

The system consists of hardware for the terminals and switches, phone lines, and software for the routing strategy. The routing strategy is a rule-based set of instructions that tells the ACD how calls are handled inside the system. Typically this is an algorithm that determines the best available employee or employees to respond to a given incoming call. To help make this match, additional data are solicited and reviewed to find out why the customer is calling. Sometimes the caller's caller ID or ANI is used; more often a simple Interactive voice response is used to ascertain the reason for the call.

Originally, the ACD function was internal to the Private Branch Exchange of the company. However, the closed nature of these systems limited their flexibility. A system was then designed to enable common computing devices, such as server PCs, to make routing decisions. For this, generally the PBX would issue information about incoming calls to this external system and receive a direction of the call in response.

An additional function for these external routing applications is to enable CTI. This allows improved efficiency for call center agents by matching incoming phone calls with relevant data on their PC via screen pop.

A common protocol to achieve this is CSTA; however, almost each PBX vendor has its own flavor of CSTA, and CSTA is quite hard to program because of its complex nature. Various vendors have developed intermediate software that hides these complexities and expedites the work of programmers.

Also, these protocols enable call centers consisting of PBXs from multiple vendors to be treated as one virtual contact center. All real-time and historical statistical information can then be shared amongst call center sites.

One of the first large and separate ACDs was a modified 5XB switch used by New York Telephone in the early 1970s to distribute calls among hundreds of 4-1-1 information operators.

Article Marketing to Increase Search Engine Ranking

Article marketing is one of the ways to increase search engine ranking of a website. It is not a difficult thing to do if you get to know how to do. In Article marketing you need to write an article in 350 to 450 words about the niche of your working area or products or services. Once they are written create a convincing headline and submit them to the various article directories.
As you might have already known one of the ways that how search engines rank the websites. For those who do not know, it is based on the number of inbound links or external links. In bound links or external links are links that lead to your website and are counted by the search engines. If your website has many inbound links then the search engines conclude that your site is more popular than those of a similar nature and your ranking increases.
Creating more inbound links is very easy. Article marketing can be used to create links that lead right back to your website. Every article that you write and submit to the article directories creates yet another inbound link.
There are many theories on how many article directories should be used when submitting articles. Some say a handful others say one hundred or more. If you want to build your ranking with search engines you should submit to as many article directories as possible.
Each article creates an inbound link for each article directory that it is listed on. If search engines look at inbound links as popularity it only makes sense that the more directories that you articles are posted to the more popular your site should be.
If your desire is to raise the ranking of your website on the various search engines you must write articles daily and submit them to a large number of article directories. If you do this you will see your page rank begins clawing its way to the top.

Visual poetry

Visual poetry is poetry or art in which the visual arrangement of text, images and symbols is important in conveying the intended effect of the work. It is sometimes referred to as concrete poetry, a term that predates visual poetry, and at one time was synonymous with it.

Visual poetry was heavily influenced by Fluxus, which is usually described as being Intermedia. Intermedia work tends to blur the distinctions between different media, and visual poetry blurs the distinction between art and text. Whereas concrete poetry is still recognizable as poetry, being composed of purely typographic elements, visual poetry is generally much less text-dependent. Visual poems incorporate text, but the text may have primarily a visual function. Visual poems often incorporate significant amounts of non-text imagery in addition to text.

It should be noted here that there remains some debate regarding the distinction between concrete poetry and visual poetry. There are three dominant views regarding the issue. One view is that visual poetry is synonymous with concrete poetry. A second view is that visual poetry is a type (or sub-category) of concrete poetry. And the last view (adopted in this article) is that visual poetry has evolved into a visual form distinct from concrete poetry. This view is supported by work identified as visual poetry in which, typographic elements are secondary to visual elements, or are minimal, or in some cases are absent altogether from the work.

Different Types of Stress

Stress in humans results from interactions between persons and their environment that are perceived as straining or exceeding their adaptive capacities and threatening their well being. The element of perception indicates that human stress responses reflect differences in personality, as well as differences in physical strength or general health. There are four main types of stress that people experience.

Eustress
Eustress is a type of short-term stress that provides immediate strength. Eustress arises at points of increased physical activity, enthusiasm, and creativity. Eustress is a positive stress that arises when motivation and inspiration are needed. A gymnast experiences eustress before a competition.

Distress
Distress is a negative stress brought about by constant re-adjustments or alterations in a routine. Distress creates feelings of discomfort and unfamiliarity. There are two types of distress. Acute stress is an intense stress that arrives and disappears quickly. Chronic stress is a prolonged stress that exists for weeks, months, or even years. Someone who is constantly relocating or changing jobs may experience distress.

Hyper Stress
Hyper stress occurs when an individual is pushed beyond what he or she can handle. Hyper stress results from being overloaded or overworked. When someone is hyper stressed, even little things can trigger a strong emotional response. A Wall Street trader is likely to experience hyper stress.

Hypo stress
Hypo stress is the opposite of hyper stress. Hypo stress occurs when an individual is bored or unchallenged. People who experience hypo stress are often restless and uninspired. A factory worker who performs repetitive tasks might experience hypo stress.

Wigs can add fashion to life

Wig, is an arrangement of artificial or human hair worn to conceal baldness, as a disguise, or as part of a costume. Shorthaired and in many tiers or long and thickly plaited, the wig was an ingenious structure and rather formalized in appearance. The natural wig eventually gave way to the formal periwig. Later (c.1690) scented pomade and white powder of starch and plaster of Paris were used on the wigs; pink, gray, and blue powders were fashionable as the fad grew. The wig became a part of women's fashions. Today the use of the wig is dictated by fashion. Ready-made wigs are available in stores and by mail order. They are one-size-fits-all models that adjust to individual heads by means of either a stretchy foundation or adjustable sections around the edge of the foundation. Customers who are willing to pay more for a better-fit can purchase semi-custom wigs that are hand-knotted on different sizes and shapes of stock foundations. Made to the customer's exact head measurements, these wigs are held in place by tension springs or adhesive strips, or can be clasped to existing growth hair. Silicone foundations can be molded to the exact head shape, so that they are held in place by a suction fit. Machine-made wigs are fabricated by weaving hair into wefts. These can be sewn in rows to a net foundation. When the hair is disturbed, by blowing wind for example, the foundation shows through the hair. Thus, such wigs are less desirable for people who have no growth hair under the wig. Hand-tied wigs, on the other hand, give a more natural look, particularly if slightly different shades of hair are blended before being applied to the foundation. Hand-tied wigs shed hair and must be repaired from time to time. With proper care, human-hair wigs generally last for two to six years.

Library

Library is a collection of information, sources, resources, and services: it is organized for use and maintained by a public body, an institution, or a private individual. In the more traditional sense, a library is a collection of books.

This collection and services are used by people who choose not to — or cannot afford to — purchase an extensive collection themselves, who need material no individual can reasonably be expected to have, or who require professional assistance with their research.

Libraries have materials arranged in a specified order according to a library classification system, so that items may be located quickly and collections may be browsed efficiently. Some libraries have additional galleries beyond the public ones, where reference materials are stored. These reference stacks may be open to selected members of the public. Others require patrons to submit a "stack request," which is a request for an assistant to retrieve the material from the closed stacks.

Larger libraries are often broken down into departments staffed by both paraprofessionals and professional librarians.
  • Circulation handles user accounts and the loaning/returning and shelving of materials.
  • Technical Services works behind the scenes cataloging and processing new materials and weeded materials.
  • Reference staffs a reference desk answering user questions (using structured reference interviews), instructing users, and developing library programming. User groups or materials further break down reference; common collections are children's literature, young adult literature, and genealogy materials.
  • Collection Development orders materials and maintains materials budgets.

Investigating Your New Town Or City

You will find it as the one of the biggest challenges, for sure, when you are about to decide your neighborhood in a city to which you are brand new. Like most of the cases you might also moving because of employment or studies or family emergency or love, chances are, you have a working knowledge of the new town to which you are moving into. You might have been there before and have walked the streets and known the attitude of the neighborhoods. But if you didn’t do that, basically you will have two choices, you can hop on the Internet and let the multitude of reference sites teach you about each particular area, or you can go for a visit. A visit only really makes sense if you have the time, money and a good map that clearly defines what street borders make up each neighborhood. If you’re thinking about moving to apartments in Houston, you need to know the difference between Buck head and Bank head, Five Points and the rest of the central business district and so on. Most apartment ads, whether they be in the newspaper or online use neighborhood jargon, so you’ll need to know what all of that means. The answer to this puzzle is to simply do your research before you go so you know exactly what you’re looking at when you begin your apartment search.

Choosing Water Bed Mattress

Ever dreamt of floating while sleeping? Well, with waterbed mattresses hitting the market, this is no longer a fantasy. Sleep has been redefined with the new water bed mattress. A survey by the National sleep foundation points that 50% of the U.S. citizens endure sleep deprivation or poor quality sleep. With waterbed mattress the story is entirely different; you have to forcibly pull yourself out of bed every morning, you wake up fresh in the morning, brimming with energy and vigor to handle your frenzied schedule. Get the lowdown on different types of water bed mattresses, from soft side water bed mattress to water bed mattress heater. There are varieties of water bed mattress to suit the comfort levels of each individual, it is always best to buy a firm waterbed mattress. Waterbed mattresses can be classified as below.

Fiber Filled Mattress
Inside the bag of the mattress, a polyester sheet is used to reduce the amount of wave and to increase the support. More fiber means extra firmness and reduced motion. To give the lower back more support, you can fill more fiber in the lower lumbar area. This mattress offers the best of comfort but is difficult to drain as the fiber retains water. Another shortcoming with fiber-filled waterbed mattress is that the fiber might budge within the mattress.

Free Flow Mattress
Unlike the first one, this type of water bed mattress has no fill up within the mattress and hence offers minimal support. Care should be taken to ensure that the outer vinyl is not a used one.

Hydraulic Mattress
The base of the mattress holds round vinyl coils that fill up with water and hover just close to the surface, thereby reducing motion. Small ports on the coils push water through them as you get on to the bed and as a result water is dampened. Each individual has a separate hydraulic coil and so the lighter person will not be pushed higher than the heavier person. More number of coils will help reduce the motion in the mattress. Draining is very easy too.

Simple Steps To A Better Tennis Serve

In tennis there are many strokes that can be greatly improved by only a few simple tips. The serve is often the most technically difficult stroke. Here are some simple tips that can help you improve your serve.

Relax your arm and wrist. The wrist provides 10-20% of the power in a serve. The motion that provides this power is called wrist pronation. Pronation will occur naturally if your arm and wrist are very relaxed. Snapping the wrist not only adds power to the serve, but it adds more consistency and control. If you did not snap your wrist downward, the ball would go long more often. By pronating your wrist, you can more easily hit the ball into the box. You need to have a fluid service motion. The serve starts at your feet, and your motion adds more energy until you release the energy when you hit the ball. If you have a choppy service motion, your energy will not compound. Try and keep your motion very fluid. Your arms and legs should not stop moving until the service motion is complete.

A large portion of the power in a serve comes from the legs. Your legs allow you to throw your entire body weight into the serve thus greatly increasing its speed. If you use just your arm, then you are missing out on plenty of energy that is generated by your legs. Jumping allows you to also hit the ball at a higher height. This means that you will have an easier time hitting the ball into the box.

By lining up your body, you should have your shoulder facing the service box. When you hit your serve, your body weight will be moving towards the service box. This will increase the speed of your serve, its consistency, and its accuracy.

Last but not least, practice your serve. The serve requires precise timing and technique. You cannot expect yourself to have a great serve unless you put in the practice time. These tips are simple and you can apply them now with relative ease. If you follow these simple tips, you will be serving better in no time.

A trip to a grocery store should also cover those staples that you wish to have in your kitchen including spices, condiments, flour, sugar, and the like.

Online Shopping

Last Tuesday was my fiance birthday and I was really worried about what should be the present. I want to buy some thing fresh and suitable for her, which should last for a lifetime. My friend who is much known for his ‘attachment’ to web, told me to go for an online search.

Initially, I was not that much interested just because that I would not like to buy with out seeing and feeling the thing physically. We came across some websites, which have a huge display of things ranging from lipstick to sedans, where the thing I wanted is just a drop in the ocean.

I found many things not only for a gift but also for the regular use in the day-to-day life like shoes, music, books, gadgets and clothes. And I decided to buy a beautiful piece of wristwatch for my fiance with a special birthday package and delivery to her all for free.

And also I found that the same items featured in different sites tagged with different price. I had to do small kind of research among the shopping sites to find the best piece for the optimum price.

Finally, the day has come. She got the gift at six in the morning and was really surprised and was so happy as a lark, and for me it’s been a day of life.

But, finally the irony is I was ended up with a big list (from a pup to LG Prada) I want to present her in the future just because of shopping online!

Buying Used Cars

Well I’m a car switcher, where I’d like to drive a new car (of course used ones) every year or 18 months. Why because, I’ll get bored of driving the same car long hours daily (my cars tick 20,000 km/year) because I like to travel a lot by cars, what the distance may be.

I used to change my cars either by exchange with the car dealers or by exchanging cars with my friends or family. A month ago I used to drive Accord Ex-Honda of 2004 with v6 3.0l engine, automatic of silver. It’s one of my best cars I have used so far, for which I got a Toyota Yaris LE of 2006 from a local dealer. This one is great with power and comfort and front wheel drive.

Till now I’ve used five to six cars, of which four are used ones. Owning the used cars gave me many lessons and experiences. I want to give you some cautions and tips in owning a used car.

Check about:-
  • The year, make and mileage
  • Any hidden history (accidents, legal or financial)
  • The person(s) who used the car (old people don’t abuse cars)
  • Number of owners changed and why?
  • Emission performance
  • All the gadgets like locks, mirrors, doors, lights, stereo, indicators, dashboard, keys etc.

Apart from this, ask your trusted mechanic to have a thorough check and you should get the lead of the car from a reliable source otherwise don’t hesitate to go for a personal enquiry about the car and the owner.

And now I’m planning to have an SUV for next year and I already started a search with dealer. Wish me the best.

I got out of the foreclosure

The last thing any homeowner wants to go through is a foreclosure. It's the worst possible scenario for someone having trouble making payments on their home's mortgage and it should be avoided at all costs. But I could not avoid that worst situation. I tried all the tips like short selling, up side down sale etc. that for only to be stated and not worked for me. I lost all the hopes then. I was given advice to approach Rod Khleif; by a friend who is a seaman just returned from a voyage. He knew a fellow seaman who got out of the foreclosure with the help of Mr. Rod Khleif and his team. I thought of giving a try as nothing to be lost if I failed. But the response I got form the organization is tremendous. They immediately took the details of all the required things regarding house and mortgage. They tried every thing to make my mortgage cleared. They fixed the deal, which was so good that I could not even dream it. Finally I got out of the foreclosure.

Music as u Like

Basically I’m a music being and always want to listen some thing new music. The online music made my life easy by helping me out to listen various types of music. It’s easy these days to have a glance at the chart busters with music stores online. I found they are offering every thing we want right from the ratings, trails, down loads to news and reviews.

And I discovered that not only I looked for the latest chart busters but also some stuff of 80s/90s, like metallica, which I would not otherwise have known about. That’s really working for me and I’m digging more older stuff and I plan to make my own collection from the selections with olden goldies. And this music is more refreshing and new to me.

While coming across an online music site, I came to listen a beautiful pop album – ‘Good Girl Gone Bad’ by Rihanna last week and I became an instant fan. Though I have her debut and sophomore albums, she has shown some real stuff in the latest one. The album sizzled with energy and the singles- Umbrella and Shut up and drive are the best ones I like.

I like music and really love to browse music online and I suggest my pals to have some music online and that’s good to have.

The Tough Job

I play a lot of soccer these days and a hard-core fan of LA Galaxy, which was joined by David Beckham recently. In fact I started playing since only a year, I am very much attracted towards the game with a strong passion and emotion. I play as a goalie to a local team.

As usually we do, last weekend we were out for a game with our regular rivals – The Hurricanes. As they were up by 1-0 in the league (all 3), it was a must win situation for us. But we lost the game for 3-2, and that’s purely because of my poor performance at the extra time. I lost the focus and was scattered in my mind. I could not meet the challenge when it was exactly required.

I searched the net for some guidance. Goal Keeping is one of the most mentally demanding positions in all of the sport. The burden on the man between the posts is great. He has the power to determine between the winners and the losers. Thus, the pressure is immense and proper mental training may be the only thing that may help him out-perform the rest.

I believe that goalkeeper is the last man standing between the win/lose and his team. And I’m looking forward to be that great man in the next game.

Corporate Events

Have you ever planned and organized corporate events like seminars and meetings? Being a part of the administration department, I had to be a part of the organizing team for a corporate seminar for which we acted as the host. I have some experiences to share regarding, how our event run on all - a weekdays of the action.

Well, we have started planning the event ahead of six months. We came across several major things to decide like Venue and Site, Attendees and Guests, Transportation/Visas & Passports, Accommodation, Food & Beverage, Accounting, Budgeting and Financial management.

In deciding the above things many things are kept in mind like the size of the participants, the scope (national or international), the size of the various sections of people (like Corporate, Political, Academic and Media) attending, accommodation required according to their requirements (spouse or children or guide may assist the participant), Registration for the participants at their convenience (like Advance and Spot reservation) etc.

Other things, which we came across in the organization of the event, are –
  • Meeting Space and Program Environment design
  • Audio Visual
  • IT Support and Programming
  • Decoration, Scheduling Speakers and Entertainment
  • Tours and Events Management
  • Marketing and Media Campaign
  • Gifts and Premiums
  • Exhibit and Trade shows
  • Post Meeting Audit & Evaluations
Despite of excellent planning and organizing the event, we faced some small and sudden problems, which were spontaneously, meet by our organizing team.

However, our event was a great success and it’s a good feeling being a part of that.

Does your small business need a website?

The following is a checklist of questions to answer before you can think of going online with your business-

Benefits of Internet to small businesses:
  • What kind of a small business is it? If it is about selling a product, then can the product be sold online? When ordered for, can it be transported to any part of the globe?
  • What is the purpose of website? Whom it is serving/targeting? Is the website required for that market. If so, is it should be informational/ salesy?
  • How can the web site be used to cut costs? Will the web site reduce costs of manufacturing, distribution etc? In addition, will it be easier to communicate with distant vendors, clients, and workforce?
  • How can the small business develop better relations with clients using their website? Small business can adapt several methods such as provide guidance, up to date information on products or services, feedback forms etc. on the web site.
  • How does the small business intend to reach out to its potential customers using its website? As the Internet is full of customers who know what they want and are looking to buy, it is important to have a solid marketing plan so that the business can successfully sell its products and services.
  • In case of a service-oriented business, will the website be able to provide information pertaining to the service or industry? Buyers like to purchase from the net only after they are thoroughly informed. Therefore, web sites must be designed to inform the customers about the services that the small businesses offer.
Once the business decides to have a website, it is necessary to include the web site in collateral material.

CDs and DVDs:

You listen to them on your stereo, play them in your computer, or watch movies on them. Compact Discs (CDs) and their faster cousin; Digital Video Discs (DVDs) are everywhere! Only a few millimeters thick, they provide hours of entertainment and hold huge volumes of information.

I wonder how CDs and DVDs became a part and parcel of our lives, once they were treated as a sacred item and are not available for the common man. Really these digital disks stood up with the expectations and had many uses which were never thought before their invention.

It sounded interesting when I read that the CD and its extensions have been extremely successful, in 2006, the annual worldwide sales of CD audio, CD-ROM, and CD-R reached about 38 billion discs.

The common damages for CDs and DVDs are-
  • Spots on the metal layer: Major cause is water or humidity or chemical degradation.
  • Visual disappearance of the metal layer: This can be caused due to the manufacturing defect or the ageing process.
  • A third significant failure mode is the peeling or flaking off of the metal layer: This can be caused by the effect of extremes of temperature that a CD might experience under some circumstances such as while being played in a car during the winter months.
CDs and DVDs are created with materials that are extremely stable. They under go a complicated process If properly stored and handled, most discs will last for decades—and probably centuries. Certain conditions, such as high humidity, or extended periods of high temperatures, rapid temperature changes, and exposure to certain types of light, can damage discs and shorten their useful life. Taking care of your discs by keeping them out of direct sunlight and away from heat and water will help them last longer. Not only will you save money, but you will also reduce the discs’ environmental impacts by preventing waste.

However, the CD and the DVD represent the revolution that is unleashed, if technology meets the needs of the common man.

i Phone

I have seen an iPhone with my friend, which looked great at a glance. Its sleek and slim and holds in ones hand just like any other gadget but with a great difference. It has almost every feature one can expect and desire.

I feel that the most amazing part is its touch screen which made the gadget virtually key less. It is like a velvet touch when I touched the screen which was specially made optical-quality glass created for use with a finger, or multiple fingers for multi-touch sensing. The 9 cm size screen gave a better feeling when operating.

One more thing I liked is its wheel like scroll bar which gave a feeling like a virtual object, after I lifted my finger from the display the wheel continues to “spinn” for a short moment before its stops completely.

I noticed iPhone lacks a number of other must have features that are common in new devices, like 3G support, voice dialing, voice recording, instant messaging, expendable memory slot, MMS, GPS, default games, and support for MP3 files as ring tones.

And I found it’s a little bit difficult to get going initially when typing text on the touch screen though there is assistance form the features like dynamic dictionary and auto fill. However iPhone is a grate gadget to grab and enjoy the features available.

The Bourne Ultimatum:

I have recently viewed the movie The Bourne Ultimatum as the earlier ones are too good to watch and I was very much interested that …..Ultimatum topped the charts with a $70 million in tickets sales over its first three days in release. As I earlier viewed the two earlier parts of the Trilogy – Bourne Identity and Bourne Supremacy, I knew the basic theme of the plot.

The basic story line has not changed in three films, but Damon still manages to play the character as fresh as the day he first stepped into Bourne’s shoes. Damon does not have to prove anything the third time around, but not once does he let down his audience by devoting anything less than 100% of himself to his performance.

I rate this movie above its earlier versions as it showed some fresh stuff.

In this part Jason Bourne, a James Bond – like character who can escape any pickle and thwart any villain, but all in a quest for his own identity. Jason is not out to save the world, but he just want to know about himself- his real name!!

I liked The very basic thread- a CIA spy lost his memory and cornered to do some thrilling action remembers me of a novel – Ambler Warning by Robert Ludlum. Damon has definitely made a mark that he can do some real stuff, some thing serious. Though Ultimatum is the last one in the trilogy, he will have a purple patch in the coming years. Damon showed up some good physical dexterity and killing instincts, which brought a hamlet- like quality to the CIA-trained assassin suffering from a five-year spell of amnesia who can never quite tell who his friends are, or rather, which of his enemies might be a true friend.

Finally, I recon this movie as one must see who loves spy-thriller-action line where this movie has all the stuff chases, blastings, shoot outs and super stunts where there should be.

Obesity

I’m starting to think about obesity when I found that most of my pals are obese!! Really obesity is a big problem, which is not paid proper attention. As far as I’m considered fast food centers otherwise QSRs (Quick Serve Restaurants) is the main reason for this problem. Items available at these places include fish and chips, sandwiches, pitas, hamburgers, fried chicken, French fries, chicken nuggets, tacos, pizza, ice cream, soft drinks…. the menu goes on which contains items which cause obesity.

I can say that we are not habituated but some what addicted to the fast foods. Yes, why because, most of my friends and me are used to have our gatherings at a fast food center or restaurant, usually we have break fast or lunch at fast food kiosks because we can eat on move, we used to have soft drinks in the breaks. With out knowingly we prefer fast foods because readily available anywhere and they are easy to consume and tasty, thus inviting obesity to be a part of our life.

I feel that there should be some limit to this because they have multi faced impacts on the society like, many popular fast-food menu items are unhealthy, and excessive consumption and, exploitative advertising and marketing are used, especially directed at children, which can have an adverse effect on their eating habits and health.

I don’t like to hang around a fast food corner, as I don’t like their practices towards their employees, local markets, environment and low quality food when compared to sit down restaurants, and I suggest all my buddies not to get habituated to fast foods.

Presidential Elections

It is well known that the United States presidential election of 2008 will be the 55th for the President ship and Vice President ship of the United States and is scheduled to be held on November 4th 2008. And also, there will be elections for all 435 members of the U.S.House of Representatives and for 34 members of the Senate. I consider this elections are crucial than any other in the past since the civil war, because there are some issues which are very critical and crucial to be addressed immediately. The parties and the presidential candidates are very careful in taking a stand on the issues like War on Terror, Public Health, Home Land Security, Fueling Economic Growth, External Affairs-China, EU, Middle East, Out Sourcing, Immigration, Minorities, Religion, and Environment etc...

As the days are ticking fast, the US public is becoming more and more concerned about the views and opinions of the presidential candidates regarding the issues laid before the nation which are to be addressed on a war footage. There is no doubt that the public is watching the campaigns and debates among the front runners very carefully. The media is flooded with the information about surveys and opinion polls may be useful or not, but vindicates that, this time the election will be tougher than ever with strong contingents like Hillary Clinton, Rudy Giuliani, Barack Obama having neck-to-neck competition. It is said that the other fore runners who are finding their names in the polls are Edwards, McCain and Romney. How hard they may try, how smart they may act, only time will test their mettle.

Reading Books? No....LISTENING

If you are a book worm!

Then you are a fast replaced race by book listeners...!! Sounds interesting? Yes, Audio versions of the books are fast picking up sales and their share in the total market of the books i.e. reading material. This is the latest trend in the literature world which was followed by even Harry Potter with some decent results.

What makes audio versions popular?
Choice-Audio versions of the books like novels, stories and even articles related to education are generally released in the formats of audio cassette or an audio CD or a DVD. This gives a better choice to the buyers to choose the most suitable format, so that they can enjoy listening by their convenience.

Carry Easy-Carrying a CD or a cassette is easy rather than carrying a huge volume of book (at least for the kids who Harry Potter).

Sound Effects-Much flavor is added to the content by adding sound effects which makes the listener more involved and interested in the theme of the book.

Who are the buyers?
Audio books serves the niche markets like blind people, children etc.. People who don't want to stuck to the reading room but want to read the books on the move (traveling or attending some work not serious...) are the target market for the audio books.

Healthy Nation

These days much is talked about health consciousness. It is well known that USA is one of the nations, which is facing multiple faced problems regarding public health. Though US is a nation where a large extent of the public health is insured, it is facing serious problems with the staggering amounts which are flowing in to the public health. I think the areas of concern for health are obesity, tobacco consumption, drugs consumption, cancer and heart diseases. The Federal Government, Insurance Companies and NGOs are spending billions of dollars on these problems. I started thinking about this when an article caught my eyes, which stated that, at present pace, by 2015 US would be a total obese nation. Though it is true or not, but it is to be accepted that over weight is becoming a serious problem in US. And coming to drugs, it is much better to talk less on that. Actors, pop stars, sports persons, politicians, teenagers, kids, executives… the list never ends, who are addicted. We hear now and then that some pop star or a sport star is sent to rehab camp or kids caught taking speed or a celebrity prosecuted for possession of illegal steroids… it sounds alarming. I think to deal with this kind of problems there should be a clear action plan with proper vision and execution from the side of the government by taking the aid of other organizations, which are fighting, for the same cause. It is better each one should be given a task with a deadline with a clear mission and vision so that the plan can be executed perfectly. And also Awareness among the public should be brought about the importance of the health, as prevention is better than cure. And it is important that public should be made a part in building a healthy nation by making them more health conscious, as – “health is wealth, and more good life”.
